Bij HWP-trimming bekijk je de slijtage-patronen van de hoeven en gebruik je deze om de beweging en het comfort van het paard te verbeteren. Dit inzicht helpt blokkades te herkennen en te verhelpen, wat de ontspanning en bewegingsflow van het paard direct bevordert.
Tijdens de clinic krijg je een een aantal casussen van Nick, gevolgd door demonstraties van hem en/of Barbara. Je leert hoe je de slijtage van verschillende paarden analyseert en interpreteert, waarna je zelf aan de slag gaat met het bekappen van 1 toegewezen paard.
Daarnaast leer je ook zorg te dragen voor je eigen lichaam tijdens het bekappen. Je zal ervaren dat het bekappen moeiteloos wordt en het positieve effect daarvan op het paard voelen. De innovatieve Trimmer Biomechanics methode is voor jou bruikbaar zoals de HWP-benadering is voor het paard. Je wordt hierin begeleid door Barbara Hoekstra, 4-star FME-trainer én professioneel hoefbekapper met meer dan 10 jaar ervaring. Tijdens deze introductie clinic leer je op een makkelijke manier voorover te buigen waarbij je je onderrug ontlast.
De clinic wordt in het Engels gegeven, met uitzondering van de Trimmer Biomechanics workshops. Vragen kunnen altijd worden gesteld voor duidelijke uitleg.

Trimming according to the hoof wear patterns will allow you to improve immediately the level of movement of the horse. You will learn to recognize the aspects that block this movement flow and fix these. Which the horses will love!
With HWP trimming, you analyze the wear patterns of the hooves and apply this insight to improve the movement and comfort of the horse. This approach helps to identify and address blockages, which directly promotes relaxation and the horse's movement flow.
During the clinic, you will receive a detailed explanation from Nick, followed by demonstrations from both him and Barbara. You will learn how to analyze and interpret the wear of different horses, then practice trimming 1 assigned horse yourself.
Additionally, you will also learn how to take care of your own body during the trimming process. You’ll experience how trimming becomes effortless, while also feeling the positive effect it has on the horse. The innovative Trimmer Biomechanics Method will be as beneficial to you as the HWP approach is for the horse. You will be guided through this by Barbara Hoekstra, a 4-star FME trainer and professional hoof trimmer with over 10 years of experience. During this introductory clinic, you will learn an easy way to bend forward while relieving strain on your lower back.
This course is for every level of trimmer, also for professional trimmers and farriers.

Deze locatie beschikt over +20 ontzettend lieve, brave paarden die voor elk niveau bekapper geschikt zijn. Je bekapt dus op levende paarden, niet op kadaverhoeven.

This location has 22 nice and well behaved horses that are suitable for every level of trimming experience. You will be trimming live horses, not cadaver hooves.
